Things aren’t as they seem

Hello, buttercups!!

I hope you have been having a fantastic week! I’ve personally been very entertained by the end of the eras of the Roy family and the Lasso family. Their stories are now permanent, and unchanging. That is, until the reboot.

I’ve been reminded this week of the inevitable truth that ideas in our head rarely match reality. That idea used to be really frightening to me, and I used to fight, energetically, for those pictures I had in my head. (I can throw a temper tantrum to rival your favorite 4 year old, too!) And, you know what? I still think that those pictures in my head are a reflection of reality. It’s human nature. How else do we make sense of this crazy beautiful world we live in?

Sometimes, when reality does not match those pictures, we have what some people affectionately call, a “rude awakening.”

Joking aside, such an awakening is often rude and jarring. For a minute, at least. And then, the weirdest thing happens. We get used to it. Yes, this thing which seemed so impossible five minutes ago, or five years ago, all of a sudden becomes real, and we accept it as part of our lives. Isn’t that just miraculous? That world we had in our head — it changes.

So, whether we love change or hate it, we all actually accept it in some part of our lives, eventually. I find that quite comforting, actually. We are much more resilient than we realize.

MERCH

Oh you, my most amazing supporters. I am in the process of creating merch. If I will see you in Buffalo or anywhere else this summer, let me know, and I will bring you whatever you want! I just love the idea of me getting to travel around with you, in spirit at least!!!

THANK YOU

A huge thank you to all of you for streaming No Touch. I am still in all of all the amazing DJ support. I am getting, and I am so grateful for where the track is going!

Next week, on Friday, a new track, called Force Field, is getting released! This track is actually written for Bernadette, Rose, my niece. My father will be very happy to know that I am writing a positive uplifting track :)

My next show is just about a week away, and I am so excited! I can’t wait to see you all and I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

All my love,
XIMXIA
